Play Queue

The Play Queue pane resides below the track list or in the Right Side Bar and shows the current queue used for playing your music. In the Play Queue you can see all the tracks that you have in your replaying queue as well as which one of the tracks is currently being replayed (if any).

Note: In versions prior to Helium Music Manager 7, the Play Queue was known as the Active Playlist.

Changing position of the Play Queue

You can change the position of the Play Queue by clicking:

View > Panes > Play Queue > Dock Play Queue in Right Side Bar to dock the Play Queue as a tab in the Right Side Bar.
View > Panes > Play Queue > Dock Play Queue in the main window to dock the Play Queue below the Track List
Drag the Play Queue to change its screen position

Showing the Play Queue

Display the Play Queue pane using any of the methods below:

Click on View > Panes > Play Queue > Play Queue from the main menu (only available when docked below the Track List).
Click the Play Queue button on the main toolbar to toggle the Play Queue on or off.

Enqueueing Tracks

Listed below are all ways that music tracks can be enqueued tracks to the Play Queue.

Right click any file in the track list and select the Play Queue > Enqueue and Play menu option.
Right click any file in the track list and select the Play Queue > Enqueue Next menu option.
Right click any file in the track list and select the Play Queue > Enqueue Last menu option.
Select files in the track list and then drag'n'drop them to where you want them to be in the Play Queue.
Click on Playlists > Play Playlist from the main menu and select a previously saved playlist for playing (it will replace the current queue in the Play Queue). You can manage your playlists from the Playlist Browser.
Click on Playlists > Play Smart Playlist from the main menu and select a previously saved playlist for playing (it will replace the queue in the Play Queue). You can manage your playlists from the Playlist Browser.
From the Album view, right click an album and select any of the enqueue commands from the Play Queue menu.
Click on a track link button in the Now Playing pane to enqueue/play it
Click on a track link button in the Summary pane to enqueue/play it
Click on a track link button in the Music Browser to enqueue/play it.
Use the available commands from the Play Queue Enqueue toolbar or the Play Queue context menu.

Using the Play Queue

Double click a file in the Play Queue to start playing it in the selected player.

The currently playing file in the Play Queue is highlighted with a pink background color.

The columns available in the Play Queue pane are:

Track position (#) in the Play Queue
Artist
Title
- If available, Remix will be shown inside parenthesis () and Subtitle will be shown inside brackets []
- If no Title information is available, the filename will be shown instead.
Rating
Song length
Album
Genre
Filename (shows the entire path and filename)
BPM
Release Year
Recording Year
Popularity
Mood
Situation

You can define the fields to display by right clicking on the column header and select the Change Columns... menu option.

Note:

More information about the currently playing file is shown in the Internal Player.
You can use drag'n'drop inside the Now Playing playlist to move one or more files up or down.
If you select one or more files in the Play Queue and right click, a context menu is shown with the same options that are available in the toolbar at the bottom of the Play Queue.
