Expanding Multiple Artists Commands

Postby duens » Tue Apr 22, 2008 4:05 pm

Hey,

the new artist extraction is awesome!
But I've got a lot of albums where the featuring artists are listed in the title field, as example:
Artist Field: X / Title Field: Song feat. Y
or
Artist Field: X / Title Field: Song (feat. Y)
Artist Field: X / Title Field: Song [feat. Y]
So I would like to suggest to expand the Multiple Artists Commands feature to the title field, so
Helium could grab the featuring artist(s) from the title field and put it in the artist field!
I hope I could explain it well enough that everyone understand what I propose. :shock:
So far..

// C

PS There's still the possibility to (re)download the track information from FreeDB (if it's available) and get the featuring
artists (if they're are listed at FreeDB) this way in the correct tag field.
If I think about it it's even more accurate to do so than to use a feature like I proposed above, and maybe even easier.... 8)
(Of course only if the album AND the featured artists are listed at FreeDB)

:!: PPS It's a pity that if you download the track information from Discogs it won't label/grab the featuring artist(s) the correct way! (I hope you know what I mean, no example here..)
