iPhone 3G + 3.0 + 6905 no problem ... 6910 = problem

Postby jctcom » Sat Jun 27, 2009 8:03 am

Hello I have been synchronizing my iPhone (firmware 3.0) with build 6905 which seems to be working fine (although album artwork seems to have disappeared again). After installing build 6910 I received a message something like "you seem to have a new iPod which is not fully supported.... Ipod synchronization disabled..." I have re-installed 6905 and during this posting have started a synchronization with my iPhone 3G with 3.0 firmware and so far (crossing my fingers) it seems to be synching normally. It will take awhile before I am totally sure as I have completely redone the playlists for a camping trip I am taking this week.

Hopefully someone is looking at this and a solution is in the works. Till then I guess I will have to stick with build 6905.

Carl.

btw in case it is important I am running on Vista Ultimate 64-bit and the SQL server is on a remote computer running Vistal ultimate 32-bit.

Ok so I take it back. It doesn't work with 6905.

Does anyone know if I would have better luck using HMM to add music to my iPhone if it were jailbroken? I am getting sick and tired of Apple screwing with my music and trying to tell me how and when I can add it to the thing.

I second that.
WIth iPhone 3.0 OS, Helium doesn't even see the device in my case.

I'm bored of fighting with shitty iTunes and annoyed with Apple for taking this ridiculous approach to access to the music library on the device.

Dear Helium people, any chance you've had a look to see how feasible it is to hack your way in again?

This is being worked on, but it may take some time because Apple makes it hard for developers to access their devices. They force the public to use iTunes to get instant access.
When available, we will of course let you know.
