Track Number 0

Postby StaNDarD » Thu Feb 04, 2010 4:47 pm

I can choose tracknumber 0 in the tag-editor, but it will be changed into 1 when written to the database and -1 when written to files (that's what mp3tag tells). :(

I would like to use this number for hidden tracks at the beginning of some cds - like on Skunk Anansie's Stoosh.

Setting the track number to 0 is currently not supported, so nothing below 1 can be used as a track number.

But why can I choose the tracknumber 0 in the tag-editor, if it's not supported?

I just checked that with the tag editor. If I type in 0 in the tag editor and press enter - nothing will be shown in the tag field. So Helium doesn't accept a 0 in this field.

If I do use the advanced tag editor Helium doesn't support 0 either. Problem is that Helium won't show you that instantly, you have to go forth one track and then go back to the track where you selected 0 - then you will see that Helium turned it into a 1.

So you can't really choose 0, Helium won't accept it or turn it into a 1.
