UPNP/DLNA Server/Client, Web-access, Webstreaming

Postby TomH » Mon Jun 29, 2009 4:05 pm

Hi,

like i said in this post. I'd like to have full UPNP support in Helium.
With a UPNP Server and UPNP Player integrated into Helium you could stream your music to other UPNP Devices and control the playback of the music within helium or other upnp players. There is already an iphone UPNP App - no need for a special Helium Remote App.
In addition the musicbrowser should ba accessible via a webbrowser, so that helium could be controlled remotely. And audio-streamin via a webbrowser (like socks) would be really cool too!

That would really take Helium to the next level!

Greetings

I've added my name to several UPnP threads in the past. Anything to get rid of Twonky!

Add me to the ones wishing UPNP will be implemented in this program, or in the "Music Streamer"

This feature would be nice. Even better: give me a Helium "dnla server" for linux. One DB to rule them all :)

A simple thing but hard to get ?
I want to use Helium to access my musik.
I want to upstream it to a UPNP client connected to stereo.

I bought this little device Trekstor MovieStation Antarius PLUS,
it is able to play from UPNP.

If there isn`t a way to direct stream a song / playlist to device,
it would be great to have so.

Please if this is possible right now give me a hint,
Thanks.

I'd love to be able to stream to my Squeezebox as well.

I too want to see Helium move towards being a UPnP/DNLA client. This capability is the major reason I'm converting CDs to FLAC files. My future with Helium depends on this capability.
