Burning an Data CD

Burning a Data CD is done in two major steps, Selecting Device, Folders and Files and Selecting Burner Options. Each step is described below:

Selecting Device, Folders and Files

The first step allows you to select your burning device from the Device list at the top of the dialog. It also allows you to define which files and folders that should be burned on the Data CD.

  • Create a new folder by clicking the Add Folder... button. The new folder will be created as a child to the selected folder in the Folders list. To create a root folder, select the first item.

  • Change the name of a folder by selecting the folder you would like to change name for and either press F2 or click Rename... on the toolbar. Change the CD label by selecting the first item and press F2/click Rename... on the toolbar. By default the CD label will be set to todays date/time.

  • Click the Remove button to remove a selected folder with it's subfolders. If there are files selected, the remove button will remove the selected files.

  • Click the Add Files/Folders... button to add one or more files, with or without a existing folder structure using the Select Tracks dialog.

  • Click the Add from Playlist... button to add all available tracks from a existing playlist.
  • Click the Erase Disc button (with a CD-RW disc inserted) to erase (format) the CD-RW disc before writing to it.
Click Next > when you have added the files and folders you would like to burn.
