The Album Cover Manager is a tool which will help you to quickly manage your album thumbnails for your albums.
Start the Album Cover Manager by clicking Tools | Album Cover Manager... from the main menu.
When the Album Cover Manager window opens up you will see a list-view
to the left, containing all unique artists in your music collection, sorted
alphabetically.
A thumbnail control is located
to the right of the artist list-view which will display your albums.
Select a artist in the list-view and all albums from that artist will
be shown in the thumbnail view.
If you select the topmost item in the list-view, All
Artists, all of your albums will be displayed.
To add or update a picture to an album, select the album and click the
button on the toolbar above the thumbnail control and
select the picture from disc that you would like to assign to the selected
album. Please note that you cannot add or update multiple album pictures
at once.
To remove one or more album pictures, select the album/albums that you
no longer would like to keep the current pictures for and click the
button on the toolbar.
To download one or more album pictures using a plug-in, select the album/albums
that you would like to download pictures for and then click the
button on the toolbar. Select which plug-in
you would like to use from the menu that is being shown. The plug-in will
now try to locate matching album covers for the selected albums. Please
note that each plug-in may behave differently.
To match multiple album pictures from pictures located in one or more
folders on disc, click the
button on the toolbar. Select
the root folder containing your pictures and click OK.
Helium Music Manager will now try to automatically match the pictures
found in the folder and its subfolders with the albums that are currently
visible. Please note that all visible albums will be matched including
those which already have covers.
You can take advantage of the filter controls to prevent artists and albums to be displayed in the list-view and the thumbnail control. This can be useful when you would like to manage a few specific albums.
To hide specific artists, use the filter controls available
from above the artist list-view. Click the
button to either
hide or show only artists that has albums without pictures or all artists.
Enter a text in the edit box to the right of the
button
and click Filter to display artists which are matching the entered text
only.
You can also constrain the list-view to show entries from a specific Library/Volume
by selecting the desired Library/Volume from the drop down list below
the topmost line of controls.
Use the two album picture filter buttons located
leftmost on the toolbar to control which albums that should be shown.
If both buttons are selected, all albums for the selected artist will
be shown. If only the
button is selected, only albums containing
a picture will be shown and if only the
button is selected,
only albums which are missing a album picture will be shown.
