Introduction to Synchronize Database Data To Files

The Synchronize Database Data To Files tool will help you to keep your database data in sync with the data stored on your files. The tool will write the information stored in your database to the selected files tags. This function is the opposite to Synchronize Folders which synchronize data stored on your files tags with your database.

Using Synchronize Database Data To Files

To synchronize database to files, follow these steps:

1. Select "Tools | Database | Synchronize Database to Files" from the main menu. The dialog above will be shown.

2. Select which folders that you want to synchronize by clicking the check box to the left of the folders.

3. Select Merge tag contents with Database data if you would like to keep your original tag data, as stated in the help text shown in the dialog.
   Select Synchronize only files with newer timestamps to only synchronize files which timestamps newer in the database than the timestamps on files.
   Select Store ID3 v1.1 tags if you would like to create ID3 v1.1 tags during this process. NOTE: ID3 v1.1 tags will only be created if the filetype supports this tag format.
    

4. Click OK to start the synchronization
