Introduction to finding duplicates

Helium comes with a tool for finding duplicate tracks in your database by using a couple of pre-defined criteria.

 

Finding duplicates

1. Show the Music Library
2. The Duplicates tool can be found as an item in the Left Side Bar. Expand the Duplicates item by clicking the + sign in front of it or by double clicking it.
3. Select any of the criteria below
   
   • Path + Filename
   • Artist + Title
   • Artist + Title + Remix
   • Artist + Album + Title
   • Title + Track Length
    
4. All duplicate tracks found by the selected criteria will be shown in the track list. You can now perform any task on these items (e.g. move, copy, delete etc.).
