View your albums as thumbnails
Introduction
By default Helium Music Manager displays your tracks as items within the
track
list just as in the Windows Explorer.
However
Helium Music Manager can also let you browse the contents in the
track
list as individual albums in a thumbnail mode.
Below
follows a brief description of the thumbnail mode as well as a few tips
and tricks.
The
thumbnails mode can be used from the following
views
in Helium Music Manager:
Using the thumbnails mode
Switch to the thumbnail mode by selecting View
| Thumbnails
from the main
menu or by clicking the Thumbnails
tab on the tab control located just below the track
list:

Any previously listed items in the tracklist
will now be shown as album thumbnails.
The albums' thumbnails can be shown as 128*128 pixel thumbnails, 96*96
pixels thumbnails or 64*64 pixels thumbnails. They are shown together
with a release type icon, a rating, as well as a caption displaying the
album's name and which artist has produced it.
If you right click you will see an album thumbnail specific context
menu with functions directly related to the album thumbnails.
Grouping albums
Helium Music Manager allows you to group the albums, shown in thumbnail
mode, in several different ways.
Grouping is very useful when you need to browse/work with only a subset
of the resulting albums, but still need to keep the entire contents visible.
You can group your album thumbnails in the following ways:
- No Grouping
- Group By Artist
- Group By Album
- Group By Publisher
- Group By Total CDs
- Group By Rating
- Group By Release Type
- Group By Release Year
All grouping methods are available quickly from the context menu.
Each
group can be collapsed and expanded by simply clicking the (+) or (-)
button to the left of the group caption.
Tips and tricks
- Use the Album Cover Manager to quickly manage your
album covers
