Find your music easily

Introduction

Searching your digital music collection is a very common task and therefore we have made it really simple for you to accomplish perfect searches.

To show the simple search simply press F3 and it will be shown on the left.

Enter a search criteria that you would like to use in the edit box, for example DJ and then select any additional requirements.

When All Fields is selected, Helium Music Manager will search the most common text fields in the database for the entered expression.

If you need to refine your search more you will have the possibility to select a specific field to search on, for example Album or Artist.

When the simple search isn't enough for you, you can use the advanced search. Show the advanced search by clicking the Advanced Search… link at the bottom of the Simple Search.

When you have clicked the link, the Query Editor dialog will be shown.
 

Using the Search Toolbar

As a complement to the Search View, you can use the Search Toolbar available from just below the main menu.

The Search Toolbar offers you to quickly enter a search expression without the need of manually entering the search view. Just enter your expression and press either Enter or click the Go button to perform the search. The results will be presented in the search view.

Searching in the Track List

To find more files matching the same expression as a selected file, right click on the selected file in the Track List and click Browse & Search | Search and select the expression (for example Artist) you would like to search for.

This gives you the capability to quickly search for more files from the same artist, album, year and more.
