Edit Genre

Introduction

This dialog contains controls to edit a genre definition. A genre definition is a description of what kind of music belongs to the genre and often how the genre was created.

Note:
The same dialog is also used for editing genre definition for genre styles and genre categories, then you will get a new field where you can edit the genre style name or the genre category name.

Editing genre definition

Enter or edit text for the genre's definition. The text can be formatted using the bold and italic   button.

To format the text, select the text you would like to format and then click the desired formatting button. To remove all formatting for the selected text, click the remove formatting button .

The links button enables you to create hyperlinks from words in the text to other Music Information Browser pages. You can create links to the following Music Information Browser pages:

• Artist page
• Album page
• Genre page
• Year page
• Publisher page
