Lightning fast tagging
The Tag Editor is the primary tag editor in Helium Music Manager which enables you to quickly edit multiple files at once using an easy to use spreadsheet user interface.
The major benefit with this tag editor is that it shows a great overview of all your files' tags at once, as opposed to the Tag Editor (advanced) where instead you work with one file at a time.
The Tag Editor can operate in Album mode or Track mode, depending on your selection of input files.
When the Tag Editor starts in Album Mode, this pane will be shown to the right of the spreadsheet control. The spreadsheet will be load with a specific set of columns, optimized for this mode. Working with the Album Information will reduce several typing operations for you and allow you to tag your albums more quickly.
The Tag Editor allows many ways of tagging without the need of entering any information manually:
- Use the Album and track information (Automatic look-up) to download tag data for an entire album including album covers via multiple download sources. This mode is fully automated and will use audio fingerprinting to download data.
- Use the Album and track information (Manual look-up) to download tag data for an entire album from a specific source.
- Use the Track information (track-by-track, automatic look-up) to download tag data for each track using audio fingerprinting.
- Use the Filename to tag function to automatically generate tag data from folder and filenames
The Tag Editor comes with some very quick help functions which simplifies the correction and managing of tags:
- Apply/Apply down - apply the selected valu to the entire column or downwards the column
- Auto track - automatically generate iterated track numbers
- Extract - Extract data for the currently selected cells into multiple cells. This function is very usefull for example when extracting title and remix from the title field.
- Switch - switch the content in the selected cells with other cells
