The My Computer Track List is used exclusively while browsing the My Computer item in the Music Explorer. The My Computer Track List is shown on the same spot as the regular Track List but works slightly different. While the regular Track List is showing track information fetched from the database, the My Computer Track List is showing file information directly from your computer, which allows to show more than just music files.
You reach the My Computer item from the Music Explorer. It's residing in the Left Sidebar.
Click on the + sign to the left of the My Computer item in the Music Explorer to expand this item. Browse through your computer by expanding folders. While browsing the My Computer item your tracks (and possibly other files, depending on settings) will be displayed in the My Computer Track List to the right.
By right-clicking on a folder you have the following options:
Add to Library
Opens the Add Files Wizard with the selected folder marked for inclusion in the database.
New Folder
Will create a new folder within the selected folder.
Rename Folder
Will rename the selected folder.
Remove Folder
Will remove the selected folder.
Copy Folder
Will show a dialog to let you choose destination to copy the selected folder to.
Move Folder
Will show a dialog to let you choose destination to move the selected folder to.
Recurse Scan Folder
Will scan the selected folder recursively and show all files in the My Computer Track List.
Explore Folder
Will show the contents of the selected folder in Windows Explorer.
Browse Folder in Music Explorer
Navigate to the selected folder in the Music Explorers My Folders node
Properties
Will show the Windows Explorer properties dialog for the selected folder.
By right clicking on the My Computer Track List space you get a context menu with the following options:
Add to Database
Will immediately add the selected files to the database.
Edit
Edit Tags
Will open the selected files in the Tag Editor.
Edit Tags (Spreadsheet mode)
Will open the selected files in the Tag Editor (Sheet.
Edit Subtracks
Will open the selected file in the Subtrack Editor
Tools
Convert To
Convert the selected files to another file format using the Convert to Format tool
Analyze MP3 Files
Will open the selected mp3 files in the MP3 Analyzer. Non-mp3 files will be automatically excluded.
Rename Files
Will open the selected files in the File Rename Wizard.
Enqueue to Active Playlist
Export Playlist
Will export the selected files to a playlist
Select
Select All
Will select all files in the My Computer Track List.
Clear Selection
Will clear the current selection of files in the My Computer Track List.
Invert Selection
Will invert the selection of the files in the My Computer Track List.
External Applications
Allows you to start a external application with the selected file(s) as input parameters. Click here to read more about External Applications.
Filter
Show All
Will display all files
Show only files in Database
Will only display files that exists in your active Database
Show only files not in Database
Will only show files that does not exists in your active Database
Tags
Auto Track Numbering
Will apply automatic track numbering to the selected files
View/Manage Attached Pictures
Will allow you to manage Attached Pictures for the selected file, using the File Properties tool.
Export/Import Tags
Will open the Export/Import Tags tool
Examine Tags
Will open the selected files in the Tag Examiner
Remove Tags
Copy to Folder
Will show a dialog, letting you select a destination to copy the selected files to.
Move to Folder
Will show a dialog, letting you select a destination to move the selected files to.
Remove
Will let you remove the selected files from your computer.
Browse Folder in Music Explorer
Will browse the folder of the first selected file in the My Folders item in the Music Explorer.
Move Up
Will move the selected items up
Move Down
Will move the selected items down
Open
Will open the selected files in the default application, selected by Windows Explorer.
Properties
Will show the files properties using the File Properties tool.
You can configure which file types that should be shown while browsing the My Computer item in the Music Explorer (in addition to all music file types that Helium Music Manager supports, cue, sfv, nfo and jpg are enabled by default). This is done on the File Browser page in Options.
