Helium Music Manager supports transferring of album picture (also referred to as album art or album images etc) to portable devices. Many different kind of portable devices are supported, including but not limited to iPod and iPhone (supported devices and instructions on how to connect these devices can be found in the section How to connect your iPod and iPhone device), Windows Mobile devices and Creative devices (different versions of the Zen series).
Sometimes album pictures won't show up on the devices after having synchronized them with Helium Music Manager. This article describes the most common things to look for when having problems to get your album pictures onto your device.
This guide assumes that you have your device connected and working in Helium Music Manager. You can verify whether Helium Music Manager has identified your device by going in to the Device Synchronizer and looking for your device under the Device drop down menu. If you device does not show, try to locate it using the Browse button.
Below follows a check list to verify to successfully get album pictures onto your device:
1. Use the Device Synchronizer
The only way to get pictures onto your device is by using the tool specifically built to synchronize music and pictures to portable devices - the Device Synchronizer.
2. Is the original picture available?
Right click an album picture and select Pictures > View original to see if the original picture will show in the associated program. If the original picture is not shown this indicates a problem. You can reassign pictures by selecting the Pictures > Add/Update menu option.
Note:
Newer generations of iPhone and iPod have a view called Cover Flow (usually reached by flipping your device to landscape mode - on iPod Touch and iPhones - or going into this menu). Helium Music Manager does not currently support synchronizing pictures to this view. We want to enable synchronization of pictures to the Cover Flow view mode in upcoming releases.
