Print Report

The Print Report tool is a tool which allows you to quickly create a printed report. The created reports can either be printed directly or exported to other formats such as:

HTML
Word (RTF)
Excel
PDF

The data used to create the reports can be:

Data used in the Track List to create a report with the same contents as in your current Track List
All database data to create a report using all data in your database. Warning: This may be a slow operation if you have a large database
Data from a stored query enables you to reuse a stored query as data input

Available Reports

There are 10 reports available in the Print Report tool. The reports are grouped in the following categories:

CD-Covers - Reports designed for CD Covers
- CD Jacket - Creates a report used to create CD Covers. This report template creates a front page using the attached picture (the original picture will be used if available) as well as a back page displaying the Track list of the album.
- CD Jacket (No cover) - Creates a report similar to CD Jacket, but without the cover image.
List of Tracks - Reports designed to present the Track List contents in various ways
- Track information - Creates a basic report displaying tracks sorted by song length
- Track information with rating - Creates a basic landscape report with rating, sorted by song length
- Track information with play counter - Creates a basic landscape report with rating and play counter, sorted by song length
- Track information (Grouped on album) - Creates a basic report grouped on album
List of albums - Reports designed to present albums in various ways
- Albums with track information - Creates a report grouped on album, displaying the album cover, track list and more
- Albums with track information (Grouped) - Creates a report similar to "Albums with track information" but the albums are grouped by their initial letter
- Simple list - Creates a simple album report
- Simple list (Grouped on album) - Creates a report similar to the above, but with extra grouping.
Artist/Group Reports - Reports designed to present artists/groups in various ways
- Artists with album information - Creates a report grouped on artist/group, displaying the artist/group picture and list displaying which albums the artist/group appears in.
- Artists without album information - Creates a report similar to "Artists with album information" but without the list displaying which albums the artists/group appears in.
- Simple artist/album list - Creates a simple list of artists togther with a list of which albums the artist/group appears in.

Using Print Report

Follow these steps to create a report:

Select File > Print Report...
Select the data you would like to use in the report from the Data Source list control.
Select the type of report from the radio buttons under the Print label.
Select the template you want to use from the pull-down list.
Click Preview to preview and optionally print the report.

Working with the preview window

When a report is previewed you can choose to export by pressing the export button.

Excel Table (OLE)
Excel Table (XML)
Word (RTF file)
