Quick Browser

The Quick Browser is a quick and easy way (as the name implies) to browse and enqueue tracks from your collection.

The Quick Browser is accessed by right-clicking the system tray icon. To ensure that Helium Music Manager is shown in the tray, open Options > General and make sure that one of the System Tray options is selected.

Using the Quick Browser

The Quick Browser consists of three menu entries:

Browse & Enqueue
Artist Filter
Quick Browse Options

Each menu entry is described below:

Browse & Enqueue

This entry enables you to browse through your collection using the layout selected in Quick Browse Options. Depending on the selected layout, there are more or less levels available for browsing under the Browser & Enqueue menu items.

If Artist/Album/Track is selected, the following levels are available:

An artist's initial letter, for all unique artists in your collection
Artist names for the selected initial letter
Albums from the selected artist
Tracks from the artist, from the selected album

If Genre/Artist/Album/Track is selected, the following levels are available:

All unique genres in your collection
Artist names for all artists of the selected genre
Albums from the selected artist
Tracks from the artist, from the selected album

If Rel. Year/Artist/Album/Track is selected, the following levels will be available:

All unique release years in your collection
Artist names for all artists of the selected release year
Albums from the selected artist
Tracks from the artist, from the selected album

When you click on a track (the lowest level), the action defined in Options | Player | Play Queue | Default enqueuing Option is performed.

Artist Filter

Enter an artist name (or part of) in the filter field and click enter to display artists only matching the entered filter in the Browse & Enqueue menu.

Quick Browse Options

The Quick Browse Options allows you to choose which browsing mode to use. The browsing modes are described above.
