[Note that Collections and Volumes are deprecated features which are bound to be removed and replaced soon]
The Split Volume Root tool enables you replace an individual Volume Root by splitting it into multiple Volume Roots.
Splitting a Volume Root is required if you wish to move subfolders into different Volumes.
From the Volume Properties dialog, select the Volume Root you would like to split into multiple roots from the Volume Root Paths list.
Click the Split Root button.
Navigate to the desired folder level in the Existing Paths tree on the left. When a folder is selected in the left tree, the right New Root Paths list will contain a list of all the new Volume Roots that will replace the old Volume Root.
Click OK to create the new Volume Roots or Cancel to abort the operation.
