Synchronize Library Data To Files

The Synchronize Database Data To Files tool enables you to keep your database data in sync with the data stored on your files.

The tool will write the information stored in your database to the selected files tags.
This function is the opposite to Update Library which synchronize data stored on your files tags with your database.

Using Synchronize Library Data To Files

Select Advanced > Library > Synchronize Library to Files from the main menu.
Select the folders that you want to synchronize by clicking the check box to the left of the relevant folders.
Select Merge tag contents with Library data if you would like to keep your original tag data, as stated in the help text shown in the dialog.
Select Synchronize only files with newer library timestamps to only synchronize files whose timestamps are newer in the database than the files timestamps.
Select Store ID3 v1.1 tags if you would like to create ID3 v1.1 tags during this process. NOTE: ID3 v1.1 tags will only be created if the filetype supports this tag format.
Click OK to start the synchronization
