Synchronize Library to Files

The Synchronize Library to Files tool will help you to keep the meta-data stored in your files in sync with your library. The tool will write the information stored in your library to the selected files' tags. This function is the opposite to the Update Library tool.

Using Synchronize Library to Files

To synchronize your library to your files, follow these steps:

Select Tools > Library > Synchronize Library to Files from the main menu.
Select which folders that you want to synchronize by clicking the check box to the left of the folders.
Select Merge tag contents with Database data if you would like to keep your original tag data, as stated in the help text shown in the dialog.
Select Synchronize only files with newer timestamps to only synchronize files which timestamps newer in the database than the timestamps on files.
Select Store ID3 v1.1 tags if you would like to create ID3 v1.1 tags during this process. NOTE: ID3 v1.1 tags will only be created if the file type supports this tag format.
Click OK to start the synchronization
