Word Replacer should be able to match parts
of words as we

my mp3 collections is shared between windows, mac, and
linux machines, and international characters sometimes get scrambled. I
would like to be able to replace just certain characters within words (eg,
ü to u). However, Word Replacer works only on whole words.

Word replacer should match whole words, and substrings as well, similar to
the find/replace in something like MS Word. An option "Match whole words
only" would allow it to retain the existing functionality. This should be
pretty simple to implement, and it would have lots of other applications
other than my specific one.
